Poem From Frost Inspiration

This was written after I had read some Robert Frost poems. It also draws inspiration from when I looked out the window that gray day.

Swinging-Seats
by Melissa M.
2-6-12
Coffin-cold,
Those swinging-seats;
They look as if
They've grown old.
Where once they
Did seven hold,
All smiling bright,
With sunlit ray.
Gray branches
Snarl by and o'er,
With clumps of spikes
In hazy patches.
Rock and hay,
Weather-beaten,
Leaf-laden ground,
Shroud the way.
But hops by
A chickadee,
Seeming to say
"I still fly."

Watched this film tonight:

It is good--half movie, half documentary, and has a few quotes from Spurgeon and his sermons.  "Look and live"--what a wonderful, simple truth!  Jesus, if we are His, has paid it all!

Randomly, here are a few recent photos I took from the first month of 2012.

Jan. 7 - A walk with friends

Jan.11 - A painting I was working on (done, now!)

Jan. 15 - Some odd sort of sheep (at least the one on the left is odd!)

Jan. 17 - Looking at God's beautiful creation on a walk

Jan. 17 - Looking at God's beautiful, fascinating creation on a walk

 Jan. 19 - Light
